Arla: Fast Track Selection
"For an industrial group such as Arla, PI® means a common language … the HR function can reach greater clarity and effectiveness … To me, PI is primarily a fast track to the essentials in the recruiting process. The PI principle never to give feedback in written form diminishes the risk of misuse ... I appreciate the ethics of oral feedback".
Harriet Pontan,

PI Europe was one of several local businesses invited to sponsor the Harrogate School’s Film festival. In agreeing to sponsor the event, we donated several prizes including hand held video cameras which will be put to good use by the competition winners.

PI Europe employee Andrew Griffiths was invited as a guest judge and helped pick the winning entry, which was a film trailer produced by a team representing Harrogate High School. Other local schools that entered teams that reached the finals were St John Fisher’s School and St. Aidan’s school, both from Harrogate.

PI Europe is committed to supporting local education – this event follows on from our presence at St. Aidan’s school, which recently hosted a modern languages fair for prospective students. With its Head offices based in Harrogate, UK but with consultants based in all major European countries, PI Europe sent several of its multilingual employees to talk to students about the importance of modern languages in business. Our participation was greatly appreciated and the young students were able to learn more about the opportunities that speaking a foreign language can bring.

Wakefield Trinity Wildcats Disabled Supporters Association (WTWDSA) is an independent voluntary association run by a group of supporters. The Primary Goal of the Association is to provide the best match day experience across Rugby League for disabled fans. The Secondary Goal is to support the club. WTWDSA aims to do this through attracting positive publicity, providing input to the clubs Equality Act report and to help the club to improve the result of the report.

Paul Tyreman recently completed the Lands End to John O’Groats route, which spans the length of mainland Britain and covers a distance of 960 miles (1545 km). The journey took 8 full days of cycling – an incredible achievement.

The money donated by PI Europe will be put towards covering some of the costs associated with several of WTWDSA’s initiatives, including the provision of radio style commentary for blind or partially sighted supporters, and the introduction of a park and ride scheme that will assist disabled fans journeying to the ground.
